QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENT POLICY | ISO 9001:2015 AND ISO 14001:2015

Engineering,S.L. (NX) was founded in 2020 with the mission of accelerating the transition towards more sustainable mobility and energy systems through innovative and efficient power electronics solutions. 

At NX, we work to develop cutting-edge solutions in power electronics, including the provision of laboratory testing services for power electronics equipment, with the aim of enhancing the technological competitiveness of our clients and helping them become leaders today and in the future. To support this goal, we have implemented a Quality and Environmental Management System based on ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standards, with the objective of improving the services we provide to our clients. 

The Management of NX views the Quality and Environmental Management System as a way to organize the operation of the company, based on core principles such as product quality, environmental performance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement of system effectiveness. 

Therefore, NX’s Management System is based on the following principles: 

• Quality and environmental responsibility are shared by the entire EPL team, starting from top management. 

• We plan, execute, review, and improve our activities by considering the internal and external context of the organization, as well as the risks and opportunities that may affect our objectives. 

• We are committed to meeting the needs of our customers and interested parties by complying with all applicable legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements, as well as any other commitments we undertake. 

• We promote a culture of continuous improvement, both in product development and in the provision of services, as well as in the overall effectiveness of the Management System. 

• Quality drives us to remain attentive to technological advancements and the potential improvements that emerging technologies may offer. 

• NX is committed to environmental protection, including pollution prevention and efficient use of available natural resources. 

• Compliance with applicable environmental legislation and regulations, as well as other requirements that our company subscribes to related to its environmental aspects. 

• Continuously enhance our environmental management to achieve improvements in the overall performance of the company, with a life cycle analysis approach. 

• Identify and control NXs’ environmental aspects and risks, establishing a preventive approach. 

• Train and raise awareness among NXs’ personnel regarding environmental performance, while providing the necessary resources for the proper functioning of the management system. 

For the effective implementation of these principles, the participation and collaboration of all is required. Therefore, this Policy is disseminated to all NX personnel for their knowledge and understanding.  

This policy is available to all interested parties upon request. 

SUPPLIERS REQUIREMENTS

ACTIVITY	Requirements
GENERAL	– To be aware of and comply with the current national, regional, and local legislation applicable to their activities, products, and services concerning the environment. – To communicate to NX any information and/or documentation that may be requested regarding the environmental performance of their products and/or services.
SUPPLIERS	– Promote environmentally-friendly production processes and the implementation of environmental management systems.
SUPPLIER OF HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES, EXCEPT FUELS	– Provide Safety Data Sheets for hazardous substances. – Inform NX about alternative substances that are more environmentally friendly.
MACHINERY SUPPLIERS	– Supply machines and equipment compliant with applicable legislation, as well as specific and necessary products for their proper functioning. – Inform NX about corrective measures implemented to reduce energy consumption of the machinery or equipment. – Report to NX potential accidents, breakdowns, abnormal operating conditions (start-up and shutdown), and their effects on energy consumption. – Inform NX about the consumption of natural resources (energy, raw materials, fuel) by the machinery under normal conditions. – Inform NX about the maintenance required for the machinery or equipment. – Inform NX about the availability of energy-efficient goods (high-energy efficiency equipment).
WASTE MANAGEMENT	– Provide NX with a copy of the accreditation document as an Authorized Waste Manager for each type of waste to be removed from our organization.
RECYCLING COMPANIES	– Send NX a copy of the application for Authorization as a recycler to the environmental authority of the corresponding locality.
INERT WASTE TRANSPORTERS	– Send NX a copy of the certificate of registration in the Register of Inert Waste Transporters with the environmental authority of the corresponding locality.
INSTALLATION AND/OR MAINTENANCE OF FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS	– Send NX a copy of the Register of the company as an installer/maintenance of fire protection systems.
SUPPLIERS THAT WORK AT NX LOCATIONS	– Communicate to the Responsible person in our organization the types of waste generated during its activities, to be informed about the proper procedures for each of them. – Deposit the waste generated by your activities in the designated storage areas, which are clearly identified. In the case of hazardous waste, the containment containers will have an identification label specifying the type of waste. – Do not mix different types of waste. – In case of doubt, always ask the responsible personnel of NX. – Do not dispose of toxic and hazardous waste, nor containers that have contained hazardous substances, such as oils, greases, solvents, etc., in areas not designated for waste disposal. – Avoid spills when handling hazardous substances and establish methods to prevent such incidents whenever possible. – In the event of a spill or if leaks or damage to containers containing hazardous substances are observed, notify immediately. – Use natural resources such as water, electricity, and fuel rationally. – Do not use NX’ drains or external sewers to dispose of toxic products or substances. – If you have any doubts, ask NX staff for assistance. – Keep the facilities clean and avoid disorder. Project an image of respect and care for the environment. – Take necessary measures to prevent abnormal noise. – Be aware that repeated discharges of waste, even in small quantities, can irreversibly harm our environment.
