Supply Chain Manager
Responsabilities
As a Supply Chain Manager, you will lead and optimize the supply chain operations to ensure efficient material flow, cost-effectiveness, and timely deliveries. This is a critical position supporting both manufacturing and product development, working closely with Commercial, Finance, and Engineering teams.
- Lead planning and ordering of time-critical materials to support manufacturing and service organizations, while minimizing freight costs and maintaining optimal inventory levels (avoid both shortages and overages).
- Define and execute inventory strategies: forecasting, demand planning, and purchase order flows.
- Monitor and manage all stages of the purchasing cycle: PO creation, supplier confirmations, delivery, and inbound logistics.
- Drive continuous improvement in supplier performance (cost, quality, lead time) through innovation and process optimization.
- Execute the purchasing strategy considering the commercial demand and engineering teams needs.
- Drive process improvement and operational excellence within our vendor community by reducing costs, defects, and lead times, while increasing innovation, automation, and economies of scale
- Strategic negotiations with key suppliers and stakeholders.
- Resolve supply chain risks and disruptions, ensuring continuity and flexibility in operations.
- Homologation of new suppliers for multiple materials and component sourcing.
Tasks
- Inventory analysis and stock level control to support production planning.
- Strategic sourcing, procurement, and supplier negotiation.
- Risk identification and mitigation in collaboration with Engineering and Quality.
- Supplier scouting and definition of robust purchasing strategies.
- Efficient international transport and logistics cost optimization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Information Systems.
- 2–5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Planning, Procurement, or related roles (Consulting, Operations), ideally in an industrial/automotive environment.
- Solid knowledge of international logistics and third-party logistics providers.
- Familiarity with electronic and electrical components and the automotive value chain is highly valued but not mandatory.
- Strong numerical and analytical capabilities, with proficiency in Excel, SQL, or similar tools.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strategic mindset with hands-on attitude: able to operate both at tactical and strategic levels.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Commercial, Engineering, and Finance teams.
- Resilient, adaptable to change, and capable of managing uncertainty.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Proactive, autonomous, and eager to grow in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Solmicro ERP.
- Advanced degree (MBA or Master’s in Operations, Supply Chain, or similar).
- Highly valuable previous experience in Supply Chain consulting (Big 4 or similar)
- Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
- EU work permit required.
