Senior Electronics Hardware Designer Engineering
Responsabilities
We have an opportunity within our Engineering Department for a Senior Electronics Hardware Designer. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Develop PCB and hardware designs for power and control electronics product.
- Lead the definition of components and perform cost analysis.
- Development of basic software for the integration of application software.
- Execution of ongoing projects.
- Join decision team for Product Development strategy.
Tasks
- Work with internal team and client parties to identify and define system requirements.
- Direct and execute the research and development of new architectures and topologies of power converters for applications such as electric and hybrid vehicles, photovoltaic solar energy, etc.
- Direct the design and subsequent verification and validation of product concepts in the R&D laboratories.
- Mentor and train experienced staff members.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with more than 4 years of experience in research and development of power converters or doctorate in power electronics/electrical and electronic engineering (or similar) with more than 2 years of experience in the sector.
- Experience in power electronic converter topologies, modulation, control and algorithms.
- Previous experience of more than 3 years in the development of hardware designs for power applications.
- Previous experience in the automotive or renewable energy industry.
- Valuable previous experience in SiC or GaN technology.
- Demonstrated experience in initiatives to develop new technologies and innovation.
- Hight level of self-confidence and autonomous goal-oriented work style, “can do” attitude, eager to learn new things and willing to think outside the box.
- Fluency in English, other languages will be valued.
- Commitment to new challenges and desire to enjoy a dynamic and motivated team.
